Phong Nha – Ke Bang has been an attractive tourism site in
the central region for a long time.
Situated far from the Dong Hoi town,
the central province of Quang Binh province 50 km, Phong Nha – Ke Bang was
recognized as world cultural heritage by the United Nations Educational,
Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2003.
There are seven things, including
the most beautiful underground river, the highest and largest cave gate, the
most beautiful sand and stone bank, the most beautiful underground lake, the
most beautiful and the widest dry cave, the most miraculous and magnificent
stalactite, and the longest water cave.
From the wharf of the Son River,
tourists will be guided to get a boat to the Phong Nha cave which has many
branches and stretches over 20km.
In the front of the cave, the stunning scenery of mountains and rivers is even more attractive. The imposing nature with particularly interesting images appears to arouse people’s imagination. The gate of the cave is about 20 meters wide and 10 meters high and has rough stalactites. The cave is like an upturned bowl above the water.

The water is clear and still as a
mirror. The farther in we go, the weaker the light is. And then it is dim. There
are only colorful lamps which make stalactite more miraculous.
According to a survey by Vietnamese
and British scientists, the system of caves in Phong Nha – Ke Bang consists of
20 caves which are 70 km in length. The most outstanding one is Phong Nha which
is 7,729 meters in length and the 13,969-meter underground river.
Apart from Phong Nha cave, there are
many beautiful caves, including Toi, E, Cha An, Thung, Khen, En, Khe Ry, Khe
Thi and Khe Tien caves.
The world heritage, with underground
rivers passing through the hillside, miraculous caves, green fields of over
100-year-old trees, and invaluable primeval plants, is an interesting
destination for tourists.
